Together in Service

“Through large actions and small, on the MIT campus and well beyond, we are a community working as one for the betterment of humankind.”

- President Rafael Reif

Working for the betterment of humankind is at the core of MIT’s mission—a vital part of which is being a good neighbor.

Following the success of the Together in Service Day in 2016, the 2017 Together in Service program united students, faculty, and staff with local partners to strengthen our communities and learn from one another through service. We will be back in 2018 with more opportunities to serve.

Service Events from 2017

Volunteer Locally with CityDays

Join your MIT peers in a one-day volunteering opportunity as part of MIT’s Together in Service Initiative. CityDays is a great way for living groups, lab partners, athletic teams, other student groups, and individual volunteers to give back to our local community by engaging with our neighbors and volunteering together. We secure service placements and provide logistical support for all participants. Open to students, faculty, alumni, and staff. There are limited slots available on a first come first serve basis. Please email aprilcityday@mit.edu to sign-up.
